These terms and conditions are applied to all our services directly or indirectly (through distributors) made available online, by email or by telephone. By accessing, browsing, and using our website and/or by completing a reservation, you acknowledge and agree to have read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions set out below (including the privacy statement). Payment and Deposit

To ensure each party is responsible for fulfilling any of its obligations, we set out below our standard payment terms and conditions.

Deposit

Either full payment or a deposit of 30% of the total cost will be required and decided based on an individual tour basis. This should be done via one of our available online payment methods. Customers will receive confirmation documents or vouchers within 24 hours after we have received the deposit.

Final Payment: Before the travel date, the due date will depend on the services you book, it will be confirmed by the travel consultant during the booking process.

Confirm booking & Voucher

All confirmations are generally confirmed by return e-mail within 1 (one) working day. In case immediate confirmation is not possible, we will inform you of the booking status at the time of reservation.

A voucher will be issued by Hippo Travel Vietnam after the booked trip is confirmed and payment is completed. A service voucher will be given for customer directly or by email.

Liability and Insurance

Hippo Travel Vietnam is not responsible for any loss, injury or damage sustained by passengers incurred due to delay, accidents, natural disaster, political actions and unrest must be borne by passengers. Passengers are required to have full travel insurance.

Transportation schedules and local conditions may affect accommodation and itineraries. Should this occur, will endeavor to substitute a suitable arrangement of similar value. Participation in any tour implies full agreement to the above conditions by all parties involved.

Cancellations & Refund

Cancellation fees for bookings will be calculated from all local suppliers as different cruise lines and other partners have their own cancellation policies. Cancellation and refund policies are detailed on each cruise, under the Rate & Availability tab. There will be no refund or exchange if the customer opts out while the tour in ongoing. If you have not used any of the services, no compensation will be given for the unused tour portion.

Main services general cancellation policy by customer (applied for FIT clients, for GIT clients we will update separate conditions when we are dealing):

Noted: There are some special conditions of hotels and cruises… based on suppliers, promotions, and peak season periods we will confirm the condition via email and will follow that policy.

Tours (from 3 days above)

  • More than 60 days before arrival date: FREE of charge
  • From 30 to 59 days before arrival date: 30% of total rate
  • From 15 to 29 days before arrival date: 50% of total rate
  • From 7 to 14 days before arrival date: 70% of total rate
  • Less than 7 days before arrival date or No show: 100% of the total rate

Halong Bay Cruise

  • More than 30 days before check-in: FREE of charge
  • From 11 to 30 days before check-in: 30% of total rates
  • From 7 to 10 days before check-in: 50% of total rates
  • Less 7 days before check-in or no-show: 100% of total rates

Mekong River Cruise

  • More than 90 days before check-in: 30% of the cruise price
  • From 60 to 89 days before check-in: 50% of the cruise price
  • From 30 to 59 days before check-in: 75% of the cruise price
  • Less than 30 days before check-in: 100% of the cruise price

Short Tours (1 – 3 days)

  • More than 7 days prior: 10% of total rates.
  • From 4 to 7 days prior: 50% of total rates.
  • Less than 3 days prior or no show: 100% of total rates.Children Policy

For the cruise, each of the boats has cruise’s policy, so you need to find it in the cruise detail.

For the tour package: The rate for children is applicable for one child sharing a twin or double cabin with two adults (max 1 child is offered discount/ couple).

  • For infants (<04 years old): FOC except for domestic flight tickets.
  • 04 – 11 years old without bed: 50% adult rate
  • 04 – 11 years old with extra bed: 75% adult rate
  • 04 – 11 years old in twin share: 90% adult rate
  • From 11 years: count as an adult.

Alternatives

Whilst we manage to reserve all the suggested services for our clients, in case of transportation accommodation is fully booked, we reserve the right to make changes to services with equivalent quality. In these cases, we will always try our best to inform you about the changes as soon as possible.

If we are unable to provide confirmed services, an alternative option or an alternative departure date will be offered subject to availability. If you don’t accept the alternative option or don’t want to change the date, we will refund your deposit.

Hippo Travel Vietnam guarantee

The prices on our website include VAT (Value-Added Tax) and service charges but are not the total of payment you must pay. Prices exclude bank charge and other services is not mentioned.

We want you to pay the lowest price possible for your vacation in Vietnam. Should you find your cruise cabin, hotel room with the same booking conditions, at a lower rate on the Internet after you have made a booking through us, we will match the difference between our rate and the lower rate. We guarantee our price is THE BEST. If a client can find a lower price than we offer on our website we will match it.

Condition for matching a price: the price is public on the web; the product has to be the same (same conditions and same booking conditions). Submit a claim it is possible only before the payment or one day after. We will not match those prices that are not public or offered by email. Also, we will not match a lower price after one day of the payment.

Quality Guarantee

Every single partner is handpicked carefully and seriously to make sure you will have the most comfortable and pleased stay. We make inspections of all our products and services regularly. In the case our services do not match your expectations, we will figure out the reasons in order to compensate for your dissatisfaction.

Money back guarantee

In case the service we provide isn’t qualified enough, except for out-of-control situations such as weather conditions, we receive and appreciate all your comments. With the highest respect, we will investigate your case and will offer the reimbursement once your complaint is rational.

User’s Contribution

The company’s service may contain messages, personalized or profiled web pages, messaging functionality, and other interactive features (Interactive Services) that allow users to send, publish, and transmit to others content or materials (Member’s Contribution) or through the company’s services.

Any information that you submit to hippotravelvn.com‘s services will not be considered confidential information. By contributing any contributions to our services, you grant the irrevocable, complete, perpetual, and free of charge to republish, display, distribute, and modify.

You guarantee that you own or control all rights to the information that you contribute to hippotravelvn.com. You guarantee the legality, reliability, accuracy, and suitability of such information. We don’t take responsibility to any third parties for the content or accuracy of any user’s contribution.

Monitoring and Execution

Hippotravelvn.com has the right to eliminate or refuse to give any user’s contributed information according to the company’s assessment; implement the modifications that the company thinks are necessary to the user’s contribution; reveal your identity or other information about you at the request of competent authorities; terminate or suspend your access to all or parts of the company’s service for any or no reason.

Hippotravelvn.com does not review the document before it is published on hippotravelvn.com ‘s services and cannot guarantee immediate removal of such information after it has been posted.

Content Standards

The standard applies to any and all user’s contributions. User’s contributed content must comply with legal regulations.
